We really go the extra mile to find and develop materials that are beautifully luxurious, and are 100% biodegradable. We work with Mills in Peru to source and develop yarns which are super special, beautiful and unique often having them designed and made especially for us. We say no to using non-biodegradable and petroleum based materials such as Nylon, Acrylic and Polyester.

The yarns we choose sometimes means they are delicate to knit or may need to be carefully hand-washed after knitting to ensure their natural properties are brought out to their best. Choosing not to use any synthetic materials is not always the easy way, but we believe it is absolutely worth the extra effort to create something truly unique and special with the least impact.

All dyes are OEKO TEX Certified, and we also work with Plant Dyed colors, giving customers the option of having something truly eco-friendly, as well as really special and unique. Partnering with small companies and communities in the Sacred Valley, just an hours drive outside of Cusco city. The knowledge of which plants create which color is almost common-knowledge to the communities around Peru, and has been used for many many generations. We love to support this knowledge and help the women to keep this skill and tradition alive.
